Making more of data.
Exploring how real-world information can be collected, connected and transformed into useful digital products.
What is aqo.ai?
aqo.ai is an independent experimental platform exploring what becomes possible when data, technology and curiosity come together.
It began with A Question Of History, an attempt to uncover the stories hidden in historical letters, documents and archives.
That work led to a broader question: could the same approaches to collecting, organising and connecting information be applied to entirely different subjects?
From historical records to fuel prices, geographical information and transport data, each experiment explores a different question while contributing to a growing foundation of shared knowledge and technology.
Artificial intelligence plays an important role, particularly in understanding complex information, but it is one part of a much wider toolkit.
aqoDATA — The evolving core
Different questions. Shared data. New possibilities.
aqoDATA is the evolving core data service behind aqo.ai.
It brings together datasets, locations, entities, relationships and historical information in a reusable foundation that can support multiple projects.
Some datasets are relatively static. Others are regularly updated or accumulate over time. Some are already structured, while others require interpretation and extraction.
The aim is to make information more useful, not just within individual projects, but through the connections between them.
As new experiments develop, aqoDATA grows alongside them.

aqoTRAVEL
A Question Of Travel
Exploring how geographical information and connected datasets can reveal new ways of understanding travel and destinations.
aqoINDEX
A Question Of Prices
Experiments in comparing prices, tracking change and revealing patterns in everyday data.
A Question Of … what next?
Every experiment begins with a question. The interesting part is discovering where the data leads.
